Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdo Dias started the match with the kick off. Samuel Faustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Vides in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Sucuruju's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Dias came free, but Samuel Faustino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Eliseu Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caras AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Faustino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Vítor Saraiva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Caras AD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Silvério Baiano hit a great ball. Dadá Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Saraiva in the 16th minute of the match. Eliseu Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Samuel Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Eliseu Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Faustino. Sucuruju's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 32nd minute Vítor Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Saraiva's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Dudu Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Caras AD booed when Sucuruju was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Dias in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Faustino saved Sucuruju from getting behind. Dudu Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vítor Saraiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdo Dias was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Caras AD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 62 minutes, Rubens Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sucuruju and the Caras AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Rubens Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Valdo Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Dias in the 68th minute of the match. Eliseu Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Samuel Faustino made a huge save. Samuel Faustino made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Eliseu Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Dadá Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Caras AD's Gláuber Moura got a free kick in the 86th minute. Samuel Faustino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Eliseu Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Faustino. Sucuruju's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When Vítor Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Sucuruju fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Saraiva couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caras AD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
