Nicolas Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Osvaldinho Alves made a huge save. If Norberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Washington Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Carsevenne's zone, Remo Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Nóbrega came out of the goal and Remo Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leoni AD's Osvaldinho Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Leoni AD from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Duda Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washington Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Osvaldinho Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Washington Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo Porto was the one to do the kick off. Remo Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Laércio Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Ramos struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Osvaldinho Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carsevenne. In the 58th minute Washington Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leoni AD's zone, Nicolas Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Alves came out of the goal and Nicolas Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldinho Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Ramos in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Nicolas Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carsevenne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Baptista in the 73rd minute of play forced Leoni AD's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Carsevenne booed when Leoni AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Washington Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Carsevenne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Baptista couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the game, Washington Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Osvaldinho Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laércio Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Porto in the 91st minute of play. Osvaldinho Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leoni AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carsevenne.
