Catunda EC's Geovânio Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Décio Koehler scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Carlos Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Décio Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Diamantino Damião made a precise shot to the right of José Carlos Leite. Catunda EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

Diamantino Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Damião in the 60th minute of play forced Catunda EC's goalkeeper José Carlos Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Catunda EC's goalkeeper José Carlos Leite, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diamantino Damião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Carlos Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Gláuber Rosado hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Décio Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catunda EC's José Carlos Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Catunda EC from getting a goal against them. Teodoro Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Catunda EC's Hamílton Marinho. But to his dismay, Hamílton Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Décio Koehler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Carlos Leite came out and tried to block the shot, but Décio Koehler slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 85th minute. When Ricardo's Diamantino Damião in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catunda EC's goalie prevented a goal. Ricardo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
