Pedro Luís Cerezo started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Ramón Paraíba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giovanni Faria. Ramón Paraíba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Surui booed when Estrenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pedro Luís Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Cardozo in the 15th minute of play forced Surui's goalkeeper Giovanni Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramón Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Faria having to interfere. With his leg Giovanni Faria managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Estrenta's Ramón Paraíba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Paraíba in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Surui's Giovanni Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Paraíba in the 27th minute of play. Giovanni Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Estrenta's Ramón Paraíba in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Surui's goalie prevented a goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramón Paraíba to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, one of Surui:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Surui. In the 65th minute Ricardinho Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Surui's Giovanni Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Paraíba in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Surui's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Paraíba came free, but Giovanni Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ramón Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Estrenta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Paraíba couldn't finish the play.
