When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Vander made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Itaquara AD got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Ceresso. In the 53rd minute of the match Marcelo Prestes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giovani Gomes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 57th match minute, Quantigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Vander to maneuver through the defense. Giovani Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Vander went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The referee ignored Itaquara AD's protests and gave Edvaldo Britto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quantigua booed when Itaquara AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Itaquara AD's Giovani Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses do Vale in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ulisses do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quantigua's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulisses do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulisses do Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovani Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Quantigua booed when Itaquara AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulisses do Vale in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovani Gomes saved Itaquara AD from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Wilson Paes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Sílvio Luís Magalhães to make any attempt to save it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
