José Augusto Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Augusto Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percival Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Porto having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Diniz got free with Gernando Porto in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aposento AD's José Augusto Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Salgado in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Carolina's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Cerezo came free, but Gernando Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Percival Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Percival Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carolina's Gernando Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Augusto Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Salgado in the 62nd minute of play. If Nestor Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Aposento AD getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bebeto Pombal hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Aposento AD's Bebeto Pombal got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Víktor Vianna, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Aposento AD booed when Carolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Betão Maranhense fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carolina's protests and gave Betão Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. 84 minutes into the match, Carolina's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Diniz came free, but Gernando Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carolina's goalkeeper Gernando Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
