Hélder Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Pintos's Hugo Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hélder Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Fernando Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jefferson de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Hugo Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hélder Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 19 played minutes Geru got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Loyola. After 22 minutes of play, Pintos's Armandinho Alcântara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Pintos booed when Geru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armandinho Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Hélder Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pintos. After 27 minutes, Olavo Loyola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geru and the Pintos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olavo Loyola hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Hugo Neves notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Geru's Hélder Madureira. Hélder Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hélder Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Neves in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Armandinho Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Hugo Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Hugo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Wilton Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geru and the Pintos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wilton Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genílson Faustino during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Geru getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Genílson Faustino hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Neves to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Geru's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Neves came free, but Hélder Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Pintos were awarded a corner. Ronaldo Fontes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Fernando Dias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hélder Madureira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Flavinho do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Olavo Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Fernando Dias hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jefferson de Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavo Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jefferson de Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Olavo Trancoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jefferson de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Olavo Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jefferson de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Olavo Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Olavo Loyola was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. After 69 played minutes Geru got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Loyola. Armandinho Alcântaras short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Hélder Madureira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Trancoso having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Wilton Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Pintos's Ronaldo Fontes tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Geru getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Daniel Leite hit a great ball. Armandinho Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Madureira having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Geru's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Neves came free, but Hélder Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geru's Hélder Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Neves in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Pintos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Geru.
