When Paulo Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Lacos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Paulo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Edgard Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Cipriano Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lacos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Peador's Cipriano Pena got a free kick in the 11th minute. Lacos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Washington de Amaral in the 14th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Lacos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peador:s goal. 22 minutes into the match, Lacos's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Passos came free, but Ciro Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lacos getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Edu de Medeiros hit a great ball. Donatello Passos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Esteves having to make a save. Christiano Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Passos in the 31st minute of play forced Lacos's goalkeeper Ciro Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Edgard Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peador's Edgard Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Tinoco in the 36th minute of play. Donatello Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Esteves having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Donatello Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Donatello Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 2-0 became the score in the 56th minute when Donatello Passos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Donatello Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Esteves having to interfere. Marco Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Edgard Carioca made a huge save. After 62 played minutes Peador got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Nóbrega. 64 minutes into the match, Paulo Tinoco notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Peador's Edgard Carioca. Edgard Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Washington de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Lacos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Salgado in the 78th minute of play forced Lacos's goalkeeper Ciro Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Salgado in the 87th minute of the match. Edgard Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
