51 minutes into the match, Sanna's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Mazza came free, but Augusto Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Sobrai's Sílvio Antunes to fire away a dangerous shot which Augusto Cearense despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Sobrai booed when Sanna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luís Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Augusto Cearense made a huge save. Sílvio Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Cearense having to interfere. Augusto Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Mazza in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, Sanna's Augusto Cearense got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luís Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Cearense having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sobrai's Glauco de Queiroz got a free kick in the 95th minute.
