The Emilio AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celsinho Macedo should have stopped the shot. Kaká Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Macedo having to interfere. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Magno da Costa sped through Campana FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexandre da Rocha. The supporters of Campana FC booed when Emilio AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. César Souza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celsinho Macedo. Emilio AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celsinho Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Dante in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Magno da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Campana FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Adalberto Marquez hit a great ball. Fernando Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre da Rocha having to interfere. Valério Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Macedo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Emilio AD's Edson Toledo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Valério Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Celsinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Martins hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Magno da Costa made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Emilio AD got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Guimarães. Kaká Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Macedo having to interfere. Kaká Dante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celsinho Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Kaká Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Macedo having to interfere. If Valério Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Marquez in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Emilio AD's goalkeeper Celsinho Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valério Peixoto. After 96th play minutes Fernando Paraense shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Alexandre da Rocha and just under the crossbar into goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
