Itapeacu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cidreira FC the free kick. Tostão Negri hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 19 minutes in the game, Renan de Castro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rômulo Moreira having to interfere. If Renan Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes, Renan Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itapeacu and the Cidreira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 27 minutes in the game, Luís Loyola fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rômulo Moreira having to interfere. Itapeacu's Rômulo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Itapeacu from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Itapeacu booed when Cidreira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan de Castro in the 56th minute of play forced Itapeacu's goalkeeper Rômulo Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Itapeacu's goal looked a bit too open when Renan de Castro came free, but Rômulo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Renan de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cidreira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olavo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Olavo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Marquez in the 67th minute of play. Itapeacu's Rômulo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Loyola in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Felippe Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapeacu's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes Cidreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Andrade. After some careless play in the Itapeacu defense, Luís Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rômulo Moreira. The Itapeacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rômulo Moreira should have stopped the shot. If Luís Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cidreira FC fully deserved thier win.
