Hílton Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 minutes of play, Cachirimbu's Hílton Vieira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Hílton Vieira had to leave the field with a concussion. 18 minutes into the game, Tostão Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ituacu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachirimbu the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Ituacu FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cachirimbu:s goal. When Cléberson Vale came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ituacu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléberson Vale couldn't finish the play. After having played for 30 minutes, Róbson Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachirimbu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When José Carlos Hames fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ituacu FC's protests and gave José Carlos Hames a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ituacu FC! Ituacu FC:s Edinho Tavares showed great skill when he stopped Oswaldo Soares:s penalty. Cléberson Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Cléberson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murillo Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 61 played minutes Cachirimbu got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Soares. Murillo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edinho Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tales Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Cachirimbu's goalkeeper Giovanni Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Torres. If William Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Murillo Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Róbson Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachirimbu's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cachirimbu's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
