Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bonecu SC's Dinei Soares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Uruguaina's goalkeeper Duda Recife had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lenílson Leal. Raúl Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Abraão in the 11th minute of play forced Bonecu SC's goalkeeper Alessandro Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Régis Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bonecu SC's zone, Eliseu Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Netto came out of the goal and Eliseu Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Lenílson Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonecu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguaina the free kick. Lenílson Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Régis Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alessandro Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenílson Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Recife having to interfere. In the 27th minute Dinei Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Eliseu Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alessandro Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Lopez in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Soares in the 42nd minute of play forced Uruguaina's goalkeeper Duda Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lenílson Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Régis Lopez to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Uruguaina booed when Bonecu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Abraão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alessandro Netto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Bonecu SC's zone, Régis Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Netto came out of the goal and Régis Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duda Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Régis Lopez in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessandro Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Raúl Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Netto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguaina's Eliseu Abraão got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Fernandes in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Régis Lopez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alessandro Netto. That made the score 0-1 in the 93 minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguaina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Bonecu SC. Joélson Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Duda Recife. 1-1. Uruguaina were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
