In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacruaru SS's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Edson Trancoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Antônio Carlos Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antônio Carlos Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Trancoso in the 22nd minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Régis Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony de Castro having to interfere. Rony de Castro came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacruaru SS's Oséias da Rocha. But to his dismay, Oséias da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Denílson Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Oséias da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rony de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias da Rocha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Rony de Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Jacruaru SS's Régis Mumbach in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melissa AD's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Denílson Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Régis Mumbach's late challenge caught a Melissa AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Mumbach helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jacruaru SS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Régis Mumbach hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Oséias da Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Rony de Castro. Melissa AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 89th minute Edson Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Trancoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2.
