Pina SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genuino SC the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Vítor Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 minutes of play, Genuino SC's Kaká de Amorim made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilmar Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Velloso in the 13th minute of play forced Genuino SC's goalkeeper Geovanni Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes, Caco da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pina SC and the Genuino SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pina SC's Caco da Silva got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Genuino SC's goal looked a bit too open when Caco da Silva came free, but Geovanni Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes Genuino SC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Rezende. Antônio Carlos Velloso struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Geovanni Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pina SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Velloso in the 38th minute of play forced Genuino SC's goalkeeper Geovanni Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Genuino SC's goal looked a bit too open when Caco da Silva came free, but Geovanni Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Pina SC's goalkeeper Gilmar Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Pombal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaká de Amorim was the one to do the kick off. Antônio Carlos Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Alagoano having to interfere. Gilmar Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Pombal in the 54th minute of play. Vito Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Vito Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pina SC's Antônio Carlos Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Velloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovanni Alagoano came out and tried to block the shot, but Antônio Carlos Velloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 66th minute. Genuino SC's Fernando Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Pina SC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká de Amorim came free, but Gilmar Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-2 became the score in the 84th minute when Fernando Pombal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Geovanni Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Velloso in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Fernando Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genuino SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pina SC the free kick. Fernando Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Pina SC's Antônio Carlos Velloso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The Genuino SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pina SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pina SC.
