Caco da Silva struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Antônio Carlos Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pina SC. Caco da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Varela made a huge save. With a little luck, Jacruaru SS's Antônio Carlos Varela got control of the ball when Caco da Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Vítor Peixoto during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baltazar Vander's shot from long distance in the 52nd minute was not bad at all, but Pina SC's Gilmar Dias knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 56th minute, Régis Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oséias da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilmar Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Mumbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Rezende in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Régis Mumbach in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilmar Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilmar Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias da Rocha in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute of the match, Oséias da Rocha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilmar Dias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Caco da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pina SC's zone, Régis Mumbach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Dias came out of the goal and Régis Mumbach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caco da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pina SC's Gilmar Dias got control of the ball when Oséias da Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Pina SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jacruaru SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Jacruaru SS.
