The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Donato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Sena in the 15th minute of play forced Antoniao's goalkeeper Alexandre Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pieropolis's zone, Clóvis Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Donato came out of the goal and Clóvis Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Clóvis Mesquita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Donato was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Ezequiel Dantas struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alexandre Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pieropolis. After a rather tough play, Antoniao's Rodolfo Sá got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jânio Tande was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clóvis Mesquita to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Pieropolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Dantas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Ezequiel Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pieropolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Sena in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Sena in the 59th minute of play forced Antoniao's goalkeeper Alexandre Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Antoniao's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Dantas came free, but Alexandre Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Pieropolis's Ezequiel Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
