Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Carlos Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Rubinho Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gino Estevess short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Álvaro Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute, Pedro Luís Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Giovanni Mendonça sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pindoretama's Álvaro Vale didn't even have to move. Paleomano's Alberto Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Álvaro Vale made a huge save. Gustavo Veloso struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Álvaro Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paleomano. If Zé Carlos Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pindoretama booed when Paleomano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pindoretama's Pedro Luís Soares got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Pedro Luís Soares off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiano Bueno got free with Rubinho Goiano in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the game, Paleomano's Alberto Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Álvaro Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 85th minute, Osvaldo de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pindoretama's zone, Gino Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Vale came out of the goal and Gino Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paleomano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pindoretama for a fine match.
