After some careless play in the Araripina defense, Nico Mumbach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Reis. The Araripina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Reis should have stopped the shot. Baltazar Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ediberto Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Mumbach in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Estrias FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tomás Vander hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, Araripina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Dracena to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Estrias FC's Jefferson Barros got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Baltazar Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Reis having to interfere. Ediberto Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Diniz in the 74th minute. With his leg Ediberto Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Estrias FC's Baltazar Diniz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ediberto Reis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Nico Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Reis having to interfere. When the match was over Estrias FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Araripina throughout the match.
