The referee ignored Republica SS's protests and gave Natã Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. Natã Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Danilo Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Juan Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Irupi SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Ronaldinho Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Galvão in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Ribeiro saved Republica SS from getting behind.

In the 58th minute, Irupi SS's Juan Galvão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Danilo Ribeiro. Danilo Ribeiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Rômulo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Galvão in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Simões got free with Danilo Ribeiro in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fiori da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Massa in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Irupi SS's Inácio Cunha got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Yuri Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Republica SS's Kauã Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Mané Massa in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Juan Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Irupi SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Galvão couldn't finish the play. Doni Simões might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doni Simões ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Danilo Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irupi SS played a much better game than Republica SS and deserved their victory. The Republica SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
