Hugo Rosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fiori da Rocha. Irupi SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betinho Terra in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fiori da Rocha saved Irupi SS from getting behind. Caio Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Paulo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélder Zanette's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Irupi SS's Thomás Mangueira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Irupi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Terra came free, but Fiori da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The referee gave Fatima a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adolfo de Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Irupi SS's Fiori da Rocha. 0-2. The Irupi SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fatima were winning 0-2.

José Paulo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Irupi SS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Inácio Cunha hit a great ball. Fatima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adolfo de Amaral in the 58th minute. The corner led Fatima's Adolfo de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which Fiori da Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Irupi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Cardozo came free, but Fiori da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Fatima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Simão to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Inácio Cunha's late challenge caught a Fatima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Fiori da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Betinho Terra kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Irupi SS's keeper Fiori da Rocha was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Betinho Terras short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Fiori da Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fatima eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
