Dé Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Gerber having to interfere. In the 7th minute, William Marquez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogério Moreno. The goal made the score 1-0. Rogério Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Marquez in the 10th minute of play. Macahubas's Tiago Reis suffered a fractured collar bone after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Anísio Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curuca SC's protests and gave Anísio Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. Anísio Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. If Lenílson Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Macahubas's Paulo Romero got a free kick in the 25th minute. Rogério Moreno made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Lenílson Machado sent off a good shot on target. William Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Rezende in the 35th minute of play forced Curuca SC's goalkeeper Dino Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Manfredo Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curuca SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macahubas the free kick. In the 36th minute, Manfredo Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dé Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dino Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Marquez made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Claudinei Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Curuca SC's Lenílson Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Dino Gerber made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Dé Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Marquez in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Machado in the 70th minute of play forced Macahubas's goalkeeper Rogério Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Macahubas got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Leite. William Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Moreno having to make a save. Dé Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When Curuca SC's William Marquez in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macahubas's goalie prevented a goal. After 90 minutes of play, Curuca SC's William Marquez made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Moreno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Curuca SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Macahubas for a fine match.
