Anísio Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Otávio Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraisopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curuca SC the free kick. The supporters of Curuca SC booed when Paraisopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Zé Paulo Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Dino Gerber. Curuca SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dino Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Maranhense in the 15th minute of the match. Anísio Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Zé Paulo Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Rafael do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dino Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Curuca SC's William Marquez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael do Valle was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Paraisopolis booed when Curuca SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraisopolis's Luiz Guilherme Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Machado in the 58th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game William Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraisopolis's Luiz Guilherme Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alessandro Dante hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Lenílson Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 69 in the game by Rafael do Valle from a close distance when the talented Dino Gerber managed to make a qualified save. Curuca SC's players were relieved. Luiz Guilherme Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Zé Paulo Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Gerber having to interfere. Zé Paulo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Curuca SC's goalkeeper Dino Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo Maranhense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Lenílson Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curuca SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafael do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paraisopolis had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
