With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Cearense in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Damião saved Tucune SC from getting behind. Ronaldo Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute of the match Sílvio Luiz Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Damião showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carioca SS's Zé Roberto Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Zilles in the 11th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Clemente Cearense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tucune SC's Vítor Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmir Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zé Roberto Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match, José Vítor Zilles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Roberto Lara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Clemente Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Mauro Pontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tucune SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carioca SS the free kick. After having played for 24 minutes, Clemente Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carioca SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Carioca SS's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Zilles came free, but Zé Roberto Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmir Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zé Roberto Lara made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Walmir Lucas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Roberto Lara. Carioca SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmir Lucas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If José Vítor Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Ronaldo Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes Tucune SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sílvio Luiz Matos who took care of the corner kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Vítor Damião didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1.
