Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando Mandrak in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Roberto Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fernando Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Periquara's zone, João Francisco Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Vides came out of the goal and João Francisco Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertino Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Cearense's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 14 minutes, André Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carioca SS and the Periquara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Carioca SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Zé Roberto Lara came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Periquara's Marco Netto. But to his dismay, Marco Netto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Roberto Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Roberto Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Netto in the 24th minute of the match. Clemente Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Zé Roberto Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Fernando Mandrak could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Zé Roberto Lara however easily saved by the left post. 59 minutes into the match, Carioca SS's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Netto came free, but Zé Roberto Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fernando Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Lara having to interfere. After some careless play in the Carioca SS defense, Luiz Fernando Mandrak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Roberto Lara. The Carioca SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Roberto Lara should have stopped the shot. Carioca SS's Zé Roberto Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Carioca SS from getting a goal against them. Zé Roberto Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Netto in the 69th minute of play. If João Francisco Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Lara having to interfere. Zé Roberto Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Netto in the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Periquara booed when Carioca SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Cearense in the 86th minute of play forced Periquara's goalkeeper Albertino Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Carioca SS booed when Periquara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Clemente Cearense notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Periquara's Albertino Vides. Albertino Vides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Periquara getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Felippe Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 98thth minute of the game Clemente Cearense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Periquara's Albertino Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Periquara's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
