Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rony Mello kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Elano Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aníbal Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Mello in the 9th minute of the match. Glauco Catarinense in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guga Rodrigues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Aníbal Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válter Rosado during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Matos's Válter Rosado got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rony Mello struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matos. After 21 played minutes Matos got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Ribeiro. When Glauco Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Iaurare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Rony Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Fontes having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Iaurare got a freekick which was hit by Fred Meirelles. In the 45th match minute, Matos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Lira to maneuver through the defense. Glauco Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Guga Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aníbal Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Aníbal Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Rodrigues. Matos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Aníbal Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. Guga Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Fernandes in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Alex Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matos's Guga Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Catarinense in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Erik Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Guga Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Catarinense in the 80th minute of play. Rony Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Fontes having to make a save. 86 minutes into the game, Marcos Vianna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedro Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Iaurare getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aníbal Fernandes hit a great ball. If Marcos Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Erik Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Glauco Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iaurare were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
