Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rony Mello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Orleans SS's Thiago Koehler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga Rodrigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. João Carlos Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When João Paulo Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orleans SS's protests and gave João Paulo Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Orleans SS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. João Paulo Bastos hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, João Carlos Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guga Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Fernandez in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Vianna got free with Hamílton Cavalcante in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th match minute, Matos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Guga Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Cavalcante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rony Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. Guga Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Fernandez in the 45th minute of play. Claudinei Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei Fernandez made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matos's goalkeeper Guga Rodrigues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute of the match Orleans SS got a corner. Matos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filipe Azevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Filipe Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guga Rodrigues quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Orleans SS's Claudinei Fernandez in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matos's goalie prevented a goal. If Rony Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Orleans SS's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Mello came free, but Hamílton Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Fernandez in the 75th minute of play. João Carlos Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Claudinei Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orleans SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guga Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Samuel Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orleans SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matos the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Orleans SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After 98 minutes Orleans SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Magno Queirós who took care of the corner kick.
