Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delfim Fantini started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jacinto Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piracaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jacinto Melo came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Piracaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Melo couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juarês Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Jacinto Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piracaua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canavieira EC's Juarês Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Canavieira EC from getting a goal against them. After 20 minutes of play, Canavieira EC's Delfim Fantini made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juarês Trigo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jacinto Melo sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Canavieira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo de Queiroz came free, but Juarês Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piracaua's Jacinto Melo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 27 minutes in the game, fortunately Juarês Trigo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 28thth minute of the game Valdo de Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canavieira EC's Juarês Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laerte Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laerte Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Antunes in the 46th minute of play. After 49 minutes of play, Canavieira EC's Laerte Antunes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdo de Queiroz made a kick off. Laerte Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Fantini in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Fantini in the 60th minute of play forced Piracaua's goalkeeper Benjamin Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Piracaua got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Pinheiro. In the 63rd minute of the match Luiz Gustavo Rosado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Massa skillfully saved the ball. Juarês Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Melo in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Piracaua's Telmo Ramalho got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo de Queiroz in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juarês Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valdo de Queiroz took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês Trigo. Juarês Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Piracaua getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Adolfo Tinoco hit a great ball. Benjamin Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Fantini in the 89th minute of play. Benjamin Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Piracaua's Guilherme Quaresma got a free kick in the 98th minute.
