The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tacuarichim FC's José Maria Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fábio Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Belchior de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Remansu EC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Alvarenga. If José Maria Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Mattos in the 13th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Josué Pontes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hernani Teixeira. If Luiz Fábio Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hernani Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Josué Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Remansu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Pontes couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fábio Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Maria Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belchior de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Tacuarichim FC's José Maria Urbano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Belchior de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 65 minutes into the game, Remansu EC's Luís Eduardo Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernani Teixeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hernani Teixeira stood somewhat misplaced when Josué Pontes came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 76 minute. If Luís Eduardo Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tacuarichim FC's Nestor Senna got a free kick in the 87th minute. Luiz Gustavo Terra's late challenge caught a Remansu EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Terra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tacuarichim FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Terra hit a great ball. Belchior de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Tacuarichim FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Remansu EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Remansu EC.
