Gustavo de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Sena in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Baroneza got a corner. Gustavo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natã Leão ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 8 played minutes Gustavo got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Tavares. João Paulo Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Franklin Peres made a huge save. Pedro Luiz Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Paulo Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Neiva in the 16th minute of play forced Gustavo's goalkeeper Gustavo de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gustavo booed when Baroneza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Baroneza's goalkeeper Franklin Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Paulo Medeiros. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo de Brito was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Baroneza's Franklin Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Martins in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Pedro Luiz Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franklin Peres. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 38th minute, Ronaldo Tavares had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 38 minutes into the game, Mateus Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baroneza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gustavo the free kick. Mateus Neiva hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Gustavo de Brito came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Baroneza's Mateus Neiva. But to his dismay, Mateus Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Leonardo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Paulo Medeiros made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Mateus Neiva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustavo de Brito, 1-2. In the 61st minute, Custódio de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baroneza's Leonardo Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateus Neiva's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Mateus Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Baroneza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Baroneza fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Baroneza's Mateus Neiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Luiz Guilherme da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baroneza's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Baroneza getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme da Fonseca hit a great ball. Gustavo de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Neiva in the 88th minute of the match. Mateus Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo de Brito having to interfere. If Mateus Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baroneza's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
