After a rather tough play, Tranquera EC's Alexsandro Mendes got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Silva in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anderson Novaes saved Marcelo FC from getting behind. Edmundo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Senna having to interfere. Edmundo Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edmundo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fernando Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wanderson Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Anderson Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Anderson Novaes made a huge save. Marcelo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Romário Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexsandro Mendes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Tranquera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Martins came free, but João Francisco Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanderson Soutos short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Anderson Novaes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute Fernando Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edmundo Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Marcelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Mattos couldn't finish the play.
