The tension between the Mossamedes AD and the Tesouras AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edmílson Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Vides in the 14th minute of the match. Elivélton Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Maia having to interfere. When Mossamedes AD's Toninho Vides, in the 22nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mossamedes AD. 25 minutes into the match, Elivélton Coutinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson Maia. Tesouras AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Coutinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Tesouras AD booed when Mossamedes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Maia having to interfere. Laércio Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mossamedes AD's Toninho Vides got a free kick in the 55th minute. Elivélton Coutinho hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Elivélton Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Maia having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Elivélton Coutinho put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edmílson Maia.
