Giovanni Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Ortiz during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Noel Prestes struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Baltazar Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curytiba SC. After 37 minutes of play, Curytiba SC's Baltazar Araújo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltazar Leme was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gino Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curytiba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the game, Gino Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Baltazar Leme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baltazar Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Baltazar Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Ferraz in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Epistasio's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Prestes came free, but Baltazar Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Prestes in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Curytiba SC's Gino Ferraz in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Epistasio's goalie prevented a goal. Gino Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Baltazar Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Epistasio's Rafael Lago got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Gino Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Epistasio's Baltazar Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Curytiba SC's attack was well implemented in the 77th minute, but when Noel Prestes was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Ernesto Rossi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltazar Leme. Epistasio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Epistasio's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Prestes came free, but Baltazar Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epistasio's Baltazar Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Ferraz in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Ferraz in the 94th minute of play forced Epistasio's goalkeeper Baltazar Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Ferraz in the 98th minute of the match.
