The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Toninho Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Koehler was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Noel Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Flávio Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Baltazar Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flávio Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. Gino Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flávio Catarinense. Gino Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Catarinense having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toninho Vides to strike the kick off in the second half. Toninho Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Giovanni Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Coutinho in the 60th minute of the match. When Raí Arósio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curytiba SC's protests and gave Raí Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Curytiba SC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Arósio. If Elivélton Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Curytiba SC's Júnior Sarmento got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th match minute, Curytiba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 82ndth minute of the game Elivélton Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curytiba SC's Giovanni Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Curytiba SC's Júnior Sarmento got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, Curytiba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Mossamedes AD's Antônio Carlos Moraes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Curytiba SC. Gino Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Elivélton Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mossamedes AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Mossamedes AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
