Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alexandre de Lara made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the match, Epistasio's Alexandre de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Toninho Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mossamedes AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amílton de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Epistasio's zone, Toninho Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Leme came out of the goal and Toninho Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Coutinho in the 22nd minute of play forced Epistasio's goalkeeper Baltazar Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Mossamedes AD got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Sá. Alexandre de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltazar Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Coutinho in the 30th minute of the match. If Toninho Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Mossamedes AD got a freekick which was hit by Léo Chaves. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre de Lara in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre de Lara in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio Catarinense saved Mossamedes AD from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Epistasio's zone, Toninho Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Leme came out of the goal and Toninho Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Toninho Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 48 minutes, Bebeto Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Epistasio and the Mossamedes AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mossamedes AD's Antônio Carlos Moraes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Epistasio. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Vides was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Epistasio's goalkeeper Baltazar Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elivélton Coutinho. Baltazar Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elivélton Coutinho went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Baltazar Leme came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Mossamedes AD's Elivélton Coutinho. But to his dismay, Elivélton Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 64thth minute of the game Toninho Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Epistasio's Baltazar Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltazar Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Sá during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Mossamedes AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Sá to maneuver through the defense. Elivélton Coutinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Baltazar Leme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Flávio Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Epistasio's Baltazar Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Vides in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Epistasio's Rafael Lago got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, Epistasio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Toninho Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mossamedes AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elivélton Coutinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Baltazar Leme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Elivélton Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Mossamedes AD were awarded a corner. Antônio Carlos Moraes went to the cornerflag to take it. Vitinho Ortiz thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Baltazar Leme, a very annoying self made goal in the 96th minute which led to 0-3. When the final whistle sounded Mossamedes AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Epistasio.
