Mauro Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio de Barros in the 3rd minute of play. With his leg Mauro Amaral managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Aroases's Jefferson Sá fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 15 minutes into the match, Júlio de Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mauro Amaral, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Júlio de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aroases's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th match minute, Aroases was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Catoles AD's Mauro Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio de Barros in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Aroases's Júlio de Barros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Júlio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mauro Amaral made a huge save. Mauro Amaral made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jefferson Sá sent off a good shot on target. When Catoles AD's José Lago in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aroases's goalie prevented a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo de Carvalho made a kick off. Jefferson Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Amaral having to interfere. Manuel Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo de Carvalho in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Júlio de Barros notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Catoles AD's Mauro Amaral. Mauro Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reinaldo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Manuel Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Catoles AD got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Leal. 70 minutes into the match, Catoles AD's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio de Barros came free, but Mauro Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jefferson Sá came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Aroases fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Sá couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio de Barros in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Amaral saved Catoles AD from getting behind. In the 75thth minute of the game Júlio de Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catoles AD's Mauro Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauro Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio de Barros in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Júlio de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Catoles AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Anselmo Macedo hit a great ball. Júlio de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mauro Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reinaldo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Manuel Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Aroases fully deserved thier win.
