Aleandro de Senna started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Quirino in the 4th minute of play forced Derrubadas's goalkeeper Ricardinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto Quirino in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardinho Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Augusto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Viana in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardinho Simões saved Derrubadas from getting behind. After 17 played minutes, Curupaiti's Edgar Machado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardinho Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curupaiti reached it. Aleandro de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ricardinho Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Derrubadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Koehler to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Pedro Augusto Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleandro de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Paulo Renato Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleandro de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo Alves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Renato Pinho having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleandro de Senna in the 44th minute of play forced Curupaiti's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Pinho having to interfere. Aleandro de Senna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Renato Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Pedro Augusto Quirino made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Augusto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Pinho having to interfere. Paulo Renato Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Koehler in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Derrubadas booed when Curupaiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Valdo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Derrubadas getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Flavinho Corrêa hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Derrubadas's goalkeeper Ricardinho Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Viana. Iuri Silveira's late challenge caught a Curupaiti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iuri Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Curupaiti booed when Derrubadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Pedro Augusto Quirino rounded Derrubadas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. In the 91st match minute, Derrubadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Koehler to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Pedro Augusto Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupaiti's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aleandro de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Derrubadas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Curupaiti's performance. The match ended with a win for Curupaiti.
