An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Dracena in the 22nd minute of play forced Verrugas's goalkeeper Miguel Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Paulo Maciel during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Iaci EC booed when Verrugas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Verrugas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Verrugas's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Dracena came free, but Miguel Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
