Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Camocim SC's Valdir Paraibano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Valladares made a huge save. In the 8thth minute of the game Valdir Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cornelius's Zacarias Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cornelius booed when Camocim SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiano Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Valdomiro Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdomiro Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Aílton Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Valdomiro Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camocim SC's Valdir Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdomiro Valladares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Lopez in the 35th minute. Valdomiro Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Tasso in the 39th minute of play. Valdir Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdir Paraibano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zacarias Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Artur Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aílton Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Valdomiro Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aílton Tasso was the one to do the kick off. Valdomiro Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Tasso in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Aílton Tasso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Camocim SC's Valdomiro Valladares. Valdomiro Valladares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valdir Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Zacarias Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camocim SC. 63 minutes into the game, Dênis Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cornelius's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camocim SC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Dênis Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Zacarias Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dênis Arruda hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Camocim SC's Armando Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdir Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zacarias Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Valdir Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Pereira scored 1-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Neiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornelius's Zacarias Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Paraibano in the 90th minute of play. Valdomiro Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Arruda in the 92nd minute of play. Fabiano Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes Camocim SC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Batista. A collision led to Camocim SC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Valdemar Marquez hit a great ball. Dário Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
