In the 5th minute Mazinho Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Mazinho Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitinho AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evandro Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Mangueira in the 18th minute of play forced Balsa AD's goalkeeper Eduardo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Figueiredo in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Evandro Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sitinho AD booed when Balsa AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sitinho AD's Evandro Figueiredo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balsa AD's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Roberto Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Zé Carlos Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Sitinho AD's Evandro Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balsa AD's Eduardo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Figueiredo in the 34th minute of play. Balsa AD's Zé Roberto Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Balsa AD got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo de Amorim.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evandro Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Balsa AD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dino Teixeira hit a great ball. Zé Roberto Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Félix having to interfere. Eduardo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Figueiredo in the 58th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Sitinho AD's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Brasil came free, but Zé Carlos Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zé Roberto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Brasil in the 70th minute of play forced Sitinho AD's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Balsa AD's Marcelo Brasil in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sitinho AD's goalie prevented a goal. Zé Carlos Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th match minute, Sitinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Evandro Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 85th minute, but Eduardo Esteves got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Balsa AD hanging dry this time. Eduardo Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mazinho Mangueira in the 86th minute. Enio Vergílio got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Sitinho AD booed when Balsa AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mazinho Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitório Faustino hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
