Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Agenor Marinho made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Marcelo Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cadori getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vágner de Godoy hit a great ball. Enrique Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Eduardo Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balsa AD's Zé Roberto Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Eduardo Esteves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Agenor Marinhos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Eduardo Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eduardo Esteves came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cadori's Luís Paulo Guimarães. But to his dismay, Luís Paulo Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Zé Roberto Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Enrique Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsa AD. Enrique Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Fernandes during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cadori getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Severino Fernandes hit a great ball. Zé Roberto Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Mendes having to interfere. When Vitório Faustino fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balsa AD's protests and gave Vitório Faustino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Vitório Faustino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Cadori's Rodriguinho de Alcântara tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, Cadori's Luís Paulo Guimarães made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 48 minutes, Marcelo Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balsa AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Roberto Paraibano to make the kick off. If Zé Roberto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Balsa AD's zone, Luís Paulo Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Esteves came out of the goal and Luís Paulo Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cadori booed when Balsa AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Paraibano in the 71st minute of play forced Cadori's goalkeeper Enrique Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Roberto Paraibano in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Balsa AD's goal looked a bit too open when Agenor Marinho came free, but Eduardo Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Guimarães in the 76th minute of play. Balsa AD's Eduardo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agenor Marinho in the 79th minute of play. When Zé Roberto Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Balsa AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Paraibano couldn't finish the play. Luís Paulo Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balsa AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
