After 5 minutes, Erivaldo Baptista made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Benjamim's Eriberto Passos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hamílton Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Inácio Oliveira managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Benjamim's Serginho Rezende fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eriberto Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Perez in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Serginho Rezende could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Inácio Oliveira however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Benjamim's Gildo Leal got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Acarahu FC got a corner. Benjamim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo de Azevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Acarahu FC's Clemente de Almeida to a score. 0-3 in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Benjamim's Serginho Rezende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inácio Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Serginho Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inácio Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serginho Rezende got free with Inácio Oliveira in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Veloso was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Benjamim's Gildo Leal got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gildo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A hard shot by Angelo de Azevedo from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Eriberto Passos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Serginho Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Hélder Veloso notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Acarahu FC's Inácio Oliveira. Inácio Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the match, Hamílton Perez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eriberto Passos, 2-4. Hamílton Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eriberto Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Benjamim's zone, Hamílton Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Passos came out of the goal and Hamílton Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Acarahu FC were furious when Luiz Guilherme Lopes was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Acarahu FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Benjamim:s goal. A collision led to Benjamim getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Pedro Porto hit a great ball. Hélder Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serginho Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Hélder Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benjamim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4.
