If Marcinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Uniao's protests and gave Fausto Mello a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Marcinho Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Chaves having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Kléberson de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luiz Galvão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Bernardo Matorin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Chaves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Kléberson de Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Chaves was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Extremas fully deserved thier win.
