With a little luck, Salininha AD's Teodoro da Cunha got control of the ball when Adrianinho de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zé Paulo Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Eurico Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cueira SS and the Salininha AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eurico Arruda hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jacinto Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Tepedino in the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Cueira SS's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Abraão came free, but Jacinto Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Betinho Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Célio da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salininha AD's Zé Paulo Tepedino pulled a muscle in his back after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tostão Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cueira SS's Tostão Cosme got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Eliseu Marinho, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Salininha AD's Betinho Abraão in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cueira SS's goalie prevented a goal. Salininha AD's Evaristo de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Abraão in the 43rd minute of play forced Cueira SS's goalkeeper Jacinto Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evaristo de Toledo during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salininha AD's Evaristo de Toledo got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Betinho Abraão to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Betinho Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salininha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Arruda got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Eurico Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Salininha AD getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Clemente Cavalcante hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Adrianinho de Brito notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Salininha AD's Teodoro da Cunha. Teodoro da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 66 minutes, Adrianinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cueira SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianinho de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrianinho de Brito scored 2-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro da Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Betinho Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jacinto Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salininha AD's Betinho Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Célio da Cunha's late challenge caught a Salininha AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Célio da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cueira SS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Célio da Cunha hit a great ball. When Salininha AD's Betinho Abraão in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cueira SS's goalie prevented a goal. Betinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Salininha AD's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Salininha AD may have spent more time on the ball, but Cueira SS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
