In the 5th minute, Amadeu Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Geovani Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belchior Antunes got free with Raí Melo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Coroveira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Neves came free, but Hernani Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrianinho Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Coutinho having to interfere. After 21 minutes, José Paulo Mandrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uibal EC and the Coroveira EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Uibal EC's José Paulo Mandrak got a free kick in the 21st minute. 27 minutes into the game, Uibal EC's Adrianinho Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernani Coutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Luiz Arósio during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Coroveira EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Arósio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moisés Mendes in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Melo saved Uibal EC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Uibal EC's zone, Moisés Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Melo came out of the goal and Moisés Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Coroveira EC's Moisés Mendes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moisés Mendes made a kick off. After 55 minutes, Raimundo Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uibal EC and the Coroveira EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Coroveira EC booed when Uibal EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raí Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belchior Antunes in the 59th minute of the match. Raí Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Duarte's late challenge caught a Uibal EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dênis Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coroveira EC's Dênis Duarte got a free kick in the 68th minute. Moisés Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Melo having to interfere. José Paulo Mandrak was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. José Paulo Mandrak hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
