The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardinho Campidelis in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raí Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute of the match, Amadeu Rodrigues got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jarbas Campidelis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th minute, Camargos FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amadeu Rodrigues fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Neves in the 30th minute of play forced Camargos FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raí Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Campidelis in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Dagoberto da Silva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Uibal EC's Raí Melo. Raí Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bernardinho Campidelis made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kiko Sá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camargos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Amadeu Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Uibal EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho Neves in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Campidelis saved Camargos FC from getting behind. Dagoberto da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raí Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dagoberto da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Raimundo Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uibal EC's protests and gave Raimundo Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, Uibal EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Marinho to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Rodrigues in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Campidelis saved Camargos FC from getting behind. Guto Leite's late challenge caught a Camargos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raí Melo was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Uibal EC's Váldson Dante got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Dagoberto da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute.
