Cocaina's Conrado Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Custódio de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coroveira EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cocaina the free kick. After 7 played minutes Coroveira EC got a freekick which was hit by Custódio de Barros. After 9 minutes, Pedro Luiz Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coroveira EC and the Cocaina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Márcio Tepedino shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Conrado Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Coutinho having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Coroveira EC's goalkeeper Hernani Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Vinhas. Hernani Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coroveira EC's Hernani Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Aguiar in the 27th minute of play. Coroveira EC's Hernani Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Coroveira EC from getting a goal against them. If Moisés Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Coutinho having to interfere. If Natã Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moisés Mendes in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino de Lara saved Cocaina from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés Mendes was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Belchior Antunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino de Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 63 minutes, Belchior Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coroveira EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belchior Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Moisés Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Mendes in the 71st minute of play. Belchior Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Severino de Lara made a huge save. Severino de Lara made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Belchior Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Severino de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Belchior Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coroveira EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Belchior Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Severino de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cocaina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Coroveira EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Coroveira EC.
