Camargos FC's Kiko Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dagoberto da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Coutinho having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Coroveira EC got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe de Amorim. With a little luck, Camargos FC's Jarbas Campidelis got control of the ball when Belchior Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernani Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Campidelis in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Nelson Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camargos FC and the Coroveira EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nelson Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Jarbas Campidelis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from André da Costa. Jarbas Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Custódio de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jarbas Campidelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belchior Antunes in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Edmundo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belchior Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jarbas Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagoberto da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Belchior Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Jarbas Campidelis. Camargos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jarbas Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Belchior Antunes sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Igor Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camargos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarbas Campidelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belchior Antunes in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Campidelis made a kick off. Coroveira EC's Belchior Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kiko Sá during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Kiko Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Belchior Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, André da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camargos FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 67th minute of the game, when Nelson Vinhas after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Coroveira EC's goal. Nelson Vinhas was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 69th minute, Custódio de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarbas Campidelis came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Coroveira EC's Moisés Mendes. But to his dismay, Moisés Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jarbas Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Belchior Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Campidelis in the 81st minute of play forced Coroveira EC's goalkeeper Hernani Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camargos FC's Jarbas Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Antunes in the 85th minute of play. Moisés Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Custódio de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Campidelis having to interfere. Igor Souza hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Campidelis in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernani Coutinho saved Coroveira EC from getting behind. Camargos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
