Cipriano Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Dias in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Bruno Souto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vivaldo de Amorim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Diego Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Américo Souto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cue EC's Vivaldo de Amorim. Vivaldo de Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Cue EC defense, Diego Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo de Amorim. The Cue EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo de Amorim should have stopped the shot. Vivaldo de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Diego Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivaldo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Souto in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Cue EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Ortiz hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes Cue EC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Azevedo. Diego Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo de Amorim having to interfere. Pedro Augusto Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Augusto Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Veiga to make the kick off. Diego Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo de Amorim having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Senna. Tucuman FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Augusto Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Tucuman FC's Oswaldo Maranhense got a free kick in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Guedes in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo de Amorim saved Cue EC from getting behind. After 76 minutes, Dráuzio Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tucuman FC and the Cue EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tucuman FC's Dráuzio Braga got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 78 played minutes Tucuman FC got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Braga. The supporters of Tucuman FC booed when Cue EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
