After 4 minutes, Aluísio da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capalazia EC and the Colombina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chicão Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Capalazia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Cordeiro came free, but Chicão Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Capalazia EC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Velasco. 29 minutes into the match, Benedito Amorim sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Chicão Linares threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Benedito Amorim this time. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Loureiro got free with Chicão Linares in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adolfo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibúrcio de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Matheus Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Marinho during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Colombina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Marinho to maneuver through the defense. When Rodolfo Secco came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Capalazia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Secco couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ronaldo Cordeiro made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, João Carlos Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capalazia EC and the Colombina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ronaldo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Chicão Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Cordeiro in the 60th minute of play. Capalazia EC's Leonel Velasco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Colombina. Chicão Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Loureiro in the 71st minute of play. Ronaldo Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Capalazia EC's Chicão Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Cordeiro in the 78th minute of play. Eliseu Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Capalazia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Cordeiro came free, but Chicão Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Colombina's Adolfo Guedes got control of the ball when Tibúrcio de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Colombina fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Colombina's Eliseu Loureiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ronaldo Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Colombina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Colombina were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Capalazia EC for a fine match.
